By participating in our contest, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this notice, which you provide to us for the purpose of participating.
For a contest on Facebook and/or Instagram, we generally process the following data:
Public social media profile information, including your username, and content you upload (such as comments, additional text, images, videos, and audio content).
Purpose of Data Processing
The purpose of data processing is to conduct the sweepstakes. This is done, on the one hand, to verify eligibility to participate, and on the other hand, to determine the winners. Participation in the sweepstakes is only possible if you provide us with the aforementioned data, as otherwise we cannot contact you to notify you of a win.
Winners will be notified via a personal message on the social media platform (personal message).
As part of the sweepstakes, we request the following data from winners, which we do not publish:
mailing address,
first and last names,
email address,
date of birth.
The personal data provided by participants as part of the sweepstakes will be collected, stored, and used for the purpose of conducting and administering the sweepstakes, and will be shared with a shipping service provider for the purpose of delivering prizes. In some cases, the prize will also be sent via email, for example, in the case of gift certificates.
Legal Basis for Data Processing
By participating in one of our sweepstakes on Facebook and/or Instagram, you consent to the processing of your data for the purposes stated above. Data processing is therefore based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Another legal basis for the processing of personal data is the fulfillment of a contractual obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We process your data in connection with sweepstakes only for the purposes stated, unless you have expressly given us your consent for another purpose in connection with the conduct of the sweepstakes.
Other Recipients of Your Data
In some cases, we engage data processors to determine the winners or conduct the contest. Otherwise, we do not disclose your data to unauthorized third parties without your explicit consent.
Retention Period
We delete the data collected in connection with the sweepstakes no later than three weeks after all prizes have been delivered. We are required to retain winners’ data until that time due to statutory retention periods.
